Meet Bishop
Bishop Michael A. Jones serves as the Prelate of the Third Jurisdiction of Arkansas for the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) and has been the Senior Pastor of Revival Center COGIC in Monticello, AR since 1997. His ministry focuses on spiritual guidance, community service, and evangelism. Since 2020, he has served as the Prelate of the Third Jurisdiction of Arkansas in the Church of God in Christ, as Assistant Treasurer of the Church of God in Christ Board of Bishops, as Scribe of the Bishop’s Conference Committee, and as Director of the National Men Perfecting Men Cares Initiative.
Beyond his pastoral work, Bishop Jones has an extensive community development, finance, and administration background. He now serves as the Executive Director of Southeast Arkansas Community Action. His previous roles include Community Development Specialist with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff School of Business, Director of Finance; Administration for Southeast Arkansas Community Action Corp., Business Consultant at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and Principal Consultant for Delta Resource Group, LLC.
His civic involvement includes service on various Drew County and Monticello boards, such as the Public Facilities Board, Housing Board, City Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation, and as a Board Member for the Southeast Arkansas Area Agency on Aging.
He is married to Lady Tira, his lovely, dedicated, and anointed wife. They have three children. Through his faith and service, Bishop Jones continues to impact lives and strive to fulfill God’s calling.
